In a recent TikTok live broadcast, Nawat Itsaragrisil, the new CEO of Miss Universe Organization, revealed that Lisa (BLACKPINK) was invited to perform at the Miss Universe 2025 grand finale in Thailand. However, despite negotiations, Lisa ultimately declined the invitation due to scheduling conflicts.
According to Nawat, while the organizers were eager to have Lisa headline the event, discussions with her management team abroad proved challenging. Lisa’s team explained that her calendar for the year was already fully booked as she focuses on multiple upcoming projects.

Miss Universe 2025, the 74th edition of the pageant, is set to take place at IMPACT Arena Muang Thong Thani — the same venue that hosted Miss Universe 2018.
Ticket prices for the grand finale have already been announced, ranging from $74 USD to $1,475 USD for premium seats.
Nawat and his Miss Grand International (MGI) team are taking full charge of the event’s production, marketing, and ticket sales.

On April 23, it was officially announced that Nawat Itsaragrisil had been appointed the new CEO of Miss Universe Organization. Since assuming the position, he has been actively involved in preparations for Miss Universe 2025 and has expanded his influence in the pageant industry.
According to Thai media outlet Thairath, Nawat has extended the license to organize Miss Universe Thailand for another 20 years. Furthermore, he and MGI are reportedly planning to purchase 300 million shares of JKN Global Group the current owner of the Miss Universe brand valued at approximately 150 million baht.
If completed, this acquisition would make Nawat the second-largest shareholder of JKN Global Group, further fueling speculation that he aims to consolidate control over the Miss Universe Organization amid JKN’s ongoing financial struggles.
Despite Lisa’s absence, excitement remains high for Miss Universe 2025 as preparations intensify and major changes unfold behind the scenes.
